SUMMER SCHOOL “COMPUTER VISION APPLICATION IN AGRICULTURE, FOREST AND AGRO-FOOD SYSTEMS”

The Department of Agricultural and Forestry Sciences (DAFNE) at the University of Tuscia, in collaboration with the University of Hohenheim and L’Institut Agro Dijon within the ELLS (Euroleague for Life Sciences) network, is organizing the Summer School titled “Computer Vision Applications in Agriculture, Forest, and Agro-food Systems”, which will take place from June 15 to 20, 2025, at the CREA-AA headquarters – Via della Navicella 4, 00184 Rome.

The Summer School aims to address key topics on computer vision techniques, with a specific focus on their applications in the agricultural, forestry, and agro-food sectors. Participants will have the opportunity to learn and apply machine learning and computer vision techniques, with hands-on applications including food quality monitoring, workplace safety, and animal and wildlife surveillance.

Additionally, the program will explore multispectral and hyperspectral technologies, providing a comprehensive overview of how computer vision can be employed across various natural, environmental, and production contexts.
